Hey there, my name is Cody Tilk, and I’m the IA Uplander! Born and raised in central Iowa where hunting and dogs have always been a passion of mine. Hunting for me started at an early age when my father took me on my first pheasant hunt back when I was 10 years old and I was hooked, and years later I ended up purchasing my very first gun dog in 2018. Bella, my Hungarian Vizsla, is the first bird dog I’ve ever trained, and she is a true athlete. She is always the first dog in and the last one out of the field, and I can always rely on her to get the job done. In our spare time when we aren’t getting after Iowa Ringneck Pheasants, fetching up doves, or pursuing Bobwhite Quail down in Kansas we volunteer at local Iowa Pheasants Forever Youth events to help encourage and educate children about the uplands and hunting. Our next adventure is to hopefully have some puppies on the ground later this summer and we will be starting up our dog training and breeding business, and getting prepared for NAVHDA!. Outside of hunting I also have a passion for health and fitness, with my own personal training and nutrition coaching business which is another commitment of mine.
